1100 Santa Barbara Street

This compact commercial project is located within the El Pueblo Viejo Design District of Santa Barbara. The inspiring new 5,600 SQ FT renovation project completely repositioned the downtown property, doubling the onsite parking and office density of a previous 1960’s era building. The subtle massing and proportion of the white plaster walls coupled with the design of unique architectural details and Moorish arched windows is reminiscent of George Washington Smith, one of Santa Barbara’s most iconic architects. The articulation of the balconies, the craftsmanship of the wrought iron, the copper metal work and the custom decorative lighting make this project a welcome addition to the family of important buildings that define Santa Barbara’s downtown architectural heritage.
